OVER the week, Zambian football enthusiasts were greeted by a depressing Zesco United defeat away to Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia in the CAF Champions League that left the Zambian champions chances of making it out of the group in tatters.
Further the administrators at Nchanga took an odd decision of firing coach Evans Sakala over highly questionable reasons but believed to be related to his comments he made that his players did not look themselves in the 3-1 loss to Power Dynamos and could have been protesting.
Back to the Zesco United issue, it may just be two games played and many arguing that it’s still early days but being placed first is obviously better than being third on a four-team table.   Read more
