I WAS touched by a letter published in your paper on February 18 2014 by senior citizen from Livingstone.
A writer from Livingstone reminds us yet again of how great and truthful our founding President Kenneth Kaunda has been to this country.
To monitor and account for how our natural resources were being produced, sold to where and at how much, so that the country can collect the desired revenue in terms of taxes, Dr Kaunda established MEMACO to monitor proceeds of the mining activities.
This act by Dr Kaunda should be appreciated because it was done in good faith and Zambia benefited from mining activities that time.
President Michael Sata, kindly revisit the possibility of re-establishing MEMACO in the same spirit as the Industrial Development Corporation.
Arm chair critics, who delight in rhetoric, shall never stop talking and should not derail your good intentions for Zambia.
Remember that the majority Zambians are behind your able leadership
