FIRST National Bank (FNB) Zambia has launched a service for customers to acquire smart mobile and other technology devices through the bank.
FNB chief executive officer Leonard Haynes said clients could now purchase a branded mobile phone, tablet or laptop through the bank at an affordable rate, on fixed monthly payment plan, over a two year payment period and with added insurance cover.
“Today, we launch our newest offering; a way for our customers to affordably buy smart devices and believe that Zambia’s digital migration drive and increasing adoption rates present the perfect conditions under which to do so,” Mr Haynes said.
He was speaking in Lusaka yesterday during the launch of the plan at Radisson Blu hotel.
Mr Haynes told journalists on the sidelines of the event that the bank had embraced digital banking as an innovative strategy of increasing its footprint across the country.
He said in its nine years of existence, FNB had opened 26 branches countrywide, with two recent additions in Livingstone and Kalumbila District.
Mr Haynes said the bank also offered favourable products to support the growth of local entrepreneurs in sectors such as agriculture.
