ZAMBIA women rugby coach Moses Mulenga has picked 15 players ahead of the 2018 Africa 7s tournament to be held in Gaborone, Botswana from May 26 to 27.
According to the list released by Zambia Rugby Union (ZRU) general secretary Francis Chitambo yesterday, Mufulira Rugby Club contributed six players followed by five from Red Arrows and four from Green Eagles, who host the selection tournament over the weekend..
Zambia is in Pool C alongside Morocco, Botswana and Mauritius with Kenya, Madagascar and Senegal to do battle in Pool B while Pool B would have Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
The provisional team that would be trimmed to 12 has Natasha Musonda, Mary Lyamba, Prisca Samutela, Midred Musonda, Anne Tembo, Yvonne Mulenga (Mufulira).
Others include Shelly Mwami, Rebecca Phiri, Mumba Chipasha, Dorothy Kasonka, Margaret Kasonka (Arrows), Linda Chintende, Veronica Lungu, Gillian Mwape, Gladys Kabamba (Eagles).
