THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is inviting bids from the business community to partner with it in the sale of its Kopa replica jerseys.
A notice of the invitation gives prospective agents a deadline of May 11, 2018 for submission of bids.
According to an advertisement in the press, agents will be appointed in all 10 provinces.
“FAZ wishes to inform the business community that as part of its growth strategy for Zambian football, and in line with the drive for the greater openness and transparency, a business opportunity to partner with the association is available for the sale of replica kits and other memorabilia,” the advert reads.
FAZ is looking for five agents in Lusaka, three on the Copperbelt, two in Southern Province and one in the rest of the provinces.
The interested parties should order a minimum of 200 shirts, have proof of registered and valid tax clearance from Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) and police clearance.
FAZ wholly owns its brand Kopa that dresses all its national teams with replica jerseys and other memorabilia as part of the package.
FAZ launched the Kopa brand at the 2018 Morocco African Nations Championship (CHAN) after terminating their three years Mafro deal barely six months into it.
The termination of the Mafro deal was due to the kit supplier failure to meet FAZ demands on the supply of replica jerseys.
