Rangers 0-1 Zanaco
FELIX Nyaende broke spirited Nchanga Rangers hearts yesterday when he led unbeaten Zanaco to an away win in Chingola in a match that started late due to late arrival of the match officials.
Nyaende, who came on for Isaac Chansa in the 61st minute, latched on to a Martin Phiri pass in the 83rd minute to score the lone goal of the match against a determined second-half display by his former club.
Zanaco had the post and former-Rangers goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata to thank in the second-half as the hosts threw everything they had in a bid to avoid a third successive defeat.
Timothy Sakala hit the post in the 59th minute before the outstanding Nsabata denied Harrison Kaonga and Nicodemus Kabungo in the 65inth and 68th minutes respectively.
Unbeaten Zanaco stay third on 12 points just a point behind the leading pair of Power Dynamos and Green Buffaloes with 13 points.
Dynamos 0-1 Zesco
ZESCO United welcomed coach ‘Chicken George’ Lwandamina to the MTN-FAZ Super League with a 1-0 win against Lusaka Dynamos at Sunset Stadium writes SANDRA MWILA.
Lwandamina was re-appointed Zesco coach on Tuesday and watched from the stands as the defending champions recorded their third win of the seaso.
Fackson Kapumbu glorious free kick beat Dynamos goalkeeper Moonga Ndala in the sixth minute to secure all three points for Zesco after Joseph Ochaya fouled Jesse-Jackson.
Dynamos were left to rue the Chris Mugalu miss in the 12th minute when Collins Sikombe teed him up.
Were wasted an opportunity two minutes later after beating a horde of defenders and Jacob Banda made sure of the points after he made a telling save from Sikombe effort in the 38th before desperate Ochaya hit the cross bar from a well powered free kick as the home supporters agonised.
Zesco moved to fourth on 10 points same as Kitwe United but ahead only on better goal difference while Dynamos are eighth with seven points.
Nkana 1-1 Buildcon
Buildcon collected their first point of the season after they played to a 1-all draw against under pressure Nkana in Kitwe under the new coach Tenant Chembo writes SAMUEL LUKHANDA.
Substitute Given Singuluma gave Buildcon the lead just after the hour mark after he lobbed advancing Nkana goalkeeper Kelvin Malunga but the joy was short lived as Walter Bwalya after wasting numerous chances nodde home the equalizer seven minutes later to claim a share of the spoils.
Both Chembo and Beston Chambeshi will be relieved to share the points after considering Buildcon have lost all their games this far and Nkana are coming from losing two against title rivals.
Nkana now on ninth have seven points while Buildcon have one in 18th.
Arrows 1-2 Kitwe
Kitwe United left it late to stun Red Arrows 2-1 at Nkoloma and move to fifth position on the log with 10 points writes GODFREY DUDE.
Arrows hard a false start taking the lead in the 25th through Daniel Adoko but Kitwe replied through
Rodgers Mukenge in 36th to restore parity.
The visitors with three minutes on the clock in the second half interchanged passes in the box before Emmanuel Chabula slammed home the winner to silence the home crowd.
Arrows are sixth in the table two points behind Kitwe United after playing five games each.
