THE Patriotic Front (PF) will this year disburse K75, 000 each to youths in six constituencies of Lusaka Province as financial empowerment.
Lusaka Province PF youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba (right) said in an interview that the earmarked constituencies were Feira, Rufunsa, Chongwe, Kafue, Chirundu and Shibuyunji.
Mr Kamba said there other constituencies in the province namely; Matero, Mandevu, Munali, Chawama, Kanyama, Lusaka Central and Kabwata that already received K75, 000 each under the empowerment scheme, last year.
He said the funds were drawn from a K2 million pool which the PF youths raised from a meet the President, Edgar Lungu, fundraising dinner in Lusaka last year.
“Our national youth chairperson, Stephen Kampyongo will soon be on the ground distributing the funds in the remnant constituencies and we urge our youths to use the funds prudently,” Mr Kamba said.
He said the PF youths in Lusaka were geared to enhance mobilisation of members as directed by President Lungu ahead of the 2021 general elections.
PF Secretary General Davies Mwila launched the countrywide mobilisation exercise in Chongwe last week.
Mr Kamba said the youths were elated with the ongoing distribution of bicycles, books and calendars to ease the mobilisation of members at grass root level.
