THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Lusaka has established that none of its members is involved in the illegal trade of Mukula logs, as alleged on social media.
Lusaka Province PF youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba said in an interview yesterday that all ruling party members, including youths, were not part of the alleged illegal trade of Mukula logs.
Mr Kamba said the party had, however, established that some unscrupulous people were riding on the PF’s name, with the aim of committing atrocities that could dent the ruling party’s public image.
“We are cautioning these people to refrain from such acts because the long arm of the law will catch up with them,” Mr Kamba said. “None of our registered members is involved in any illegality, none at all.”
He said the party was in support of police initiatives to clump down on the illegal trade of Mukula and that no culprit should be spared regardless of their party affiliation.
Mr Kamba said President Edgar Lungu abhorred criminality and that the PF youths should maintain a stance of exemplary behaviour to put an end to any illegal practices, which may undermine the electorate’s trust in the administration.
