SABLE Transport and Construction Company has urged Chipata residents to remain patient as modalities are being finalised to complete the tarring of some township roads.
Last week, Eastern Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo threatened to cancel the contract on the tarring of Kalindawalo road in the city.
But when contacted yesterday, Sable Construction Managing Director Iqba Alloo said his company was committed to completing Kalindawalo and other township roads.
Mr Alloo said once modalities were put in place, the company would complete the construction of Kalindawalo Road charging that his company would never engage in any misunderstandings with the Government.
“All efforts are being undertaken to normalise the situation between the client (Government) and the Sable Construction.So the people should be patient enough as we are working on the modalities,” he said.
Sable was constructing the Kalindawalo road which leads to the Chipata-Mchinji Railway line, the Napsa Road and it was also supposed to work on Katopola –Chizongwe Road.
